Birthday Cake

Spent all day in London today including a very nice lunch at the extremely civilised Hurlingham Club which nearly provided me with a blip of the most perfect stripey lawn I have ever seen.

However, during my absence lots of friends visited the house and left some lovely surprise birthday presents - the builders must have wondered what on earth was going on!

One good friend delivered a delightful individual coffee victoria sandwich - very British Bake Off! A lovely surprise and delicious treat at the end of a busy day (sorry I forgot to put the doily on the plate before I blipped the cake and ate it!).
