Seen at the Good Food Show at the NEC

Spent the day at the Good Food Show at the NEC. Busy, of course, and interesting. Many people crowded around the alcohol stands gin being very, very popular. Loads of stands selling preserves and sauces. How do you differentiate between the dozens on offer? And you couldn’t move for sausages, this stall having the best strapline in the Show.

We bought a mat for the studio and some clingy lids to replace the use of cling film. We’re trying to be a little less damaging to the environment by not using cling film and buying stuff made in the UK not in China or the Far East where we can but it is a struggle and not as straightforward as you might initially suppose.

We ended the visit in the theatre watching the Hairy Bikers demonstrate three great looking dishes and entertain us with their witty banter. Great fun and a good way to send us on the long drive back to Kent.
