My cousin visited us today and we went to Haddon Hall. Haddon is near Chatsworth House, I blipped that last week. Chatsworth is known as all bling, whereas Haddon is the real thing.
It is a very lived in look medieval and tudor house and gives the real feel of how it was like to live in a manor at those times, dark and cold., no fancy furniture just functional solid wooden pieces. Haddon dates back to the 11th century but was added to in various stages between  the 13th and 17th century.
