Steptoe and siblings

We joined in the filling of a skip of scrap metal for the scouts. This is the mixed materials material that we get $135/tonne. We are doing a good social service by clearing people's garage of rubbish, but the last skip weighed 2.5T. It's not a lot of money, but we could have been standing in the cold and dark parking 32 cars in the scout football car parks. Or selling 160 raffle tickets. Hmm, maybe it wasn't that poor an earner after all.
The bonus is getting to break things to make them fit into the skip, and have a good look at the curious things people drop off.
