Pretty Weeds

Weather was wonderful today, warm sun shining, blue skies. I didn't check the temp. but shorts weather for sure. We took a walk this afternoon to air out our brains and there were these carpets of yellow flowering weeds in every unmowed area. I have no idea what they are, they're bushy plants about a foot or two high and they just covered field after field...this pic shows a group of little Mesquite trees, and near the bottom of the fence a couple of cactus plants hiding under the yellow mystery weeds.

One of Texas treasures is her beautiful natural flowers, they don't last long but they are stunning while they're here.
