Photo Club Challenge

CCN and I headed into Katoomba this morning with the goal of taking photographs of the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre. We figured it was probably the most contemporary building in the Blue Mountains and could possibly provide the aspects we were looking to photograph for the Urban Photo Challenge. It's a really interesting building and houses a magnificent Gallery space, cafe, meeting rooms and a very substantial library. I liked this image because it shows the scale of the building but in the background is the Carrington Hotel, one of the most iconic buildings in the mountains. The old brick chimney stack that towers over the Carrington can be seen from all over Katoomba.
