Lighting up Time.

Picked up early by Rebecca who was taking Ruby to the orthodontist at Leeds Dental Hospital this morning.
Ruby had a bad collision in the playground just after she had got her adult teeth.
Emergency treatment on the day saved her teeth but she knew from the age of seven that she would need a lot of corrective work one day.
For the past nine months she has worn a brace and other contraptions that l don’t even know the name of.
Today was to have the brace tightened.
But some good news too: the blocks ( they probably have a more technical name) that she had to wear in addition for twenty three hours a day can now be reduced to nine hours while she sleeps.
Back in six weeks and then in three months to look at what needs doing next, probably a brace on her lower teeth too.
All is going well and she never complains, she just knows it has to be done.
After the appointment Rebecca dropped us off at the train station and she went to work.
After dropping her off at school l did a few seasonal tasks including printing off some photographs to accompany the Christmas cards l sent to my brother and his family in Australia.
Mr P picked me up as l’d just missed the bus home.
He has a cold so not feeling too chipper.
I seemed to have wasted the afternoon.
I did finish off writing all the Christmas cards though.
It was only as l lay the dinner table l realised l had not even thought about doing a blip .
On the table was a small wreath that l bought for only £3.50 at the farm shop.
It’s very simple, just pine cones and acorns but it looks pleasing as a festive table decoration with a fat candle plonked in the middle of it.
So l turned off the lights and lit the candle , here you can see what it looked like.
