Another day, another venture

I closed my business bank account last week.  There wasn't a lot of activity there apart from a monthly service charge to the bank.  There was enough left for a good bottle of malt whisky.  So armed with a copy of 101 whiskies to try before I die, I bought a bottle of Scapa from Orkney.  It is described in the book as a 'little gem'.  I'm looking forward to the taste of 'pears, lemon rind, baked apples and a gentle sweetness' with a 'nutty oak, spices and vanilla'.  1 down 100 to go.

I also met up with some old friends over a wonderful lunch.  We didn't solve the problems of the world but we did identify some of them and had a lot of laughs.
