Sibelius Monument close-up
My blip is a close-up of some of the pipes of the Sibelius Monument in Helsinki. This was our first port of call on another fun day in Finland with alfthomas (only - ArcLight is now in Copenhagen).
From here we travelled on the number 8 tram to Arabia, then walked to the Museum of Technology (where we especially enjoyed the interactive displays for children).
We returned to the Arabia Design Centre for lunch (where we also ate yesterday), and I made a second Moomin purchase.
This evening we're heading out to a folk music concert in a nearby bookshop, then to Elite for supper. Will the meal top last night's of smoked fish, swede soup, reindeer steak, and blueberry pie?
Update: the singer had a sore throat so the concert was cancelled. Instead we had a browse around the bookshop and drinks before dinner (which, incidentally, was delicious - smoked fish, steak, crème brulée and a marvellous bottle of white wine. The meal itself was not as good as last night's but was excellent nonetheless, and the venue was pretty special too.)
Exercise today: walking (12,767 steps)
