High and Dry

Here she is!  Peridot, sitting pretty, safely up on the beach, still attached to her mooring - NB Mooring - not anchor!  (It has been pointed out to me that I got that wrong yesterday!)  It will have to be a high tide to get her back into the water.

We will be able to go over at the weekend and check her out, but it's still pretty wild today and Mike has been at work.  No post yesterday, so he was called in to help with the double load today.

Lots of damage being reported after the storms, but luckily the shop didn't flood.  The council had put up flood defences along the road, which was a great help.  

The road through the village here is strewn with rocks and stones and masses of seaweed this morning.  We have never seen the sea so high or so wild, it makes you realise how powerless we are against nature.  A bit calmer today, but much colder, with snow, sleet and hail showers, although it's not lying.
