An unexpected day...
.....in a couple of ways.
Firstly because I was due to be in Kilmory and Lochgilphead for most of the day but when I got up it was snowing very hard. So after an exchange of texts with Marie Claire, my constituency manger, we decided that most of what we were going to do could be accomplished by phone if it had to .
That decision was alreday being thrust upon me, however, by being woken by a phone call from the “Today” Programme asking for a reaction to the news coming from Brussels, which was quickly followed by a bid from BBC Radio Scotland for an interview. Obviously it was going to be one of those days as well.
So I spent most of it looking out at frequent snow showers, talking on the phone to the Council Leader & Depuity Leader, and then the Council Chief Executive ( all productive and focused conversations ) whilst interspersing such local discussions with a variety of media interviews, chats with civil servants and advisers and even one with a senior UK Cabient Minister.
But I did snatch a few minutes to get some photographs including this view from just below our house.
A house, incidentally, that we have now lived in for exactly 25 years - yesterday was the anniversary of our move to Feorlean in 1992. The place has certainly changed greatly since then but not so much that deer cannot still graze in the garden by the front door , as my extra picture shows : a little roe grazing on a laurel bush late this afternoon.
