Ringaringas

A New Zealand native plant, these ringaringas of mine are blooming profusely. I’m really thrilled with them this year. It’s a narrow strip of land, between the house and the boundary, and my plan is to do away with the lawn, and just have a path wending through the ringaringas.

Another hot day. A friend arrived this afternoon to cut down a tree that has been blocking my view of the sea. A grand job done, even though I was sad to have a tree levelled. He was absolutely dripping by the time he’d finished too. What a hot job.
