Snow, what else?
Along with a million other blippers today I'm celebrating the snow. Its funny in this country how we relish, or dread if we're driving, the snow. Maybe south of the border it's becoming a rarer occurrence, unless you live in Wales of course. Nearly every year we were cut off from civilisation in our little village outside of Brecon when the snows started. I remember having to dig a path through deep snow so we could reach the chickens in the garden.
Anyway it started snowing in the early hours and has been continuing throughout the day. Not wanting to miss out on our morning coffee we walked into town to find, luckily, that Nero was open for business as usual. although the third day of the Victorian Market had been abandoned. We came back across Shottery Fields which was a hive of adult and child snow related activities, snowballing, snowman building, dog chasing in the snow, the only thing we didn't get was sledging as there are no hills there.
I took some snowy photos down Henley Street but as we were walking home we crossed the cycle track that runs from Shottery Road and this was a scene I couldn't resist.
