I had such a good night's sleep last night. I slept for 10 hours. I can't remember the last time I did that. Before heading downstairs for breakfast, I walked to the car to put a parking ticket on it. It was bitterly cold and I had forgotten to put my gloves. By the time I got back to the hotel, it had started to snow. By the time we had finished eating breakfast, it had started to snow quite heavily. We decided to head for Calais earlier just to be on the safe side. The roads were treacherous and for a long time, we were doing no more than 15mph. Luckily, by the time we got on the motorway, the roads were a lot clearer. By the time we got to Calais, it had started to rain and it was very, very windy. We got to the Eurotunnel terminal just before 1pm and we managed to get an earlier train. However, there were lots of delays and we ended up departing at the same time as our original booking. We got home just before 4.30pm. It had been snowing here too but there was very little left by the time we got home.
After dinner, we watched Star Wars but didn't get to finish it because everyone was so tired.
