Looking north

Today's the day ........................... to stay green

When you see pictures of other parts of the UK at present, particularly to the south of us, I feel truly blessed that we still have green fields around here.

It may be very cold - but the sky is blue and the roads are clear of the white stuff.  I know that would not be everyone's cup of tea - and that it could all change in an instant - but I just thought I'd tell you that I'm very happy with the way things are, just at the moment.

This is the view from the outskirts of Kendal looking northwards towards the Kentmere and Shap Fells that just have a nice dusting of - icing sugar ..........................
