Hare Hill Christmas Do

I do love the Hare Hill Christmas lunches.  Simple food (soup and sandwiches this year, followed by mice pies, of course) but we get to make things - well, there are a lot of 'raw materials' at Hare Hill.  This year it was a Christmas wreath made with a hazel 'frame' and then lots of holly.

It was a really nice afternoon but I got stuck in traffic on the way home, and then decided I'd better detour to fill up with petrol which wasted another hour in traffic.  How on earth do people cope with traffic on a daily basis?  I walked to work for the last 8 years I had a full-time job and I hardly ever drive in rush hour traffic - but it took 30 minutes to do 1.5 miles this evening from Cheadle Royal to Cheadle Hulme.  Crazy.

And so I didn't go to the Victoria Baths AGM this evening.  By the time I got home I'd had it with traffic - and I couldn't have coped with driving into Manchester.
