The Thin Blue Line

Tonight I was Medic and Photographer at the South Island Masters Games 5km Run and Walk,35 Runners and over 100 walkers of all ages and sizes. Have you ever been inspired by a completely unknown person, I have listened to a lot of motivational speakers in my time my favourite is Les Brown. Tonight I heard a man speak to a crowd of Masters Athletes and no it wasn't Buck, this man said a few simple words that created a few tears from me. This man said "you can get to my age and do it" pointing to his head he said " it's all up here" and he thanked the crowed. This man is my 200th Blip he is Ian Matheison who received cheers and Claps when he crossed the thin Blue line representing the finish of the 5k run and walk. Ian was supported by his Daughter and Grand Daughter. The amazing thing about Ian is he's 98 years of age
