One day, two brussel sprouts were walking together down the road when a speeding car came around the corner and ran one of them over.

The uninjured brussel sprout called 999 and an ambulance quickly arrived. The injured sprout was taken to hospital and rushed into surgery. After a long worrying wait the surgeon finally came out to talk to the waiting sprout.
"I have good news and bad news" he said.
"The good news is that it looks like he'll pull through, ....the bad news is that he'll be a vegetable for the rest of his life.
