John and Jamie

Just home from singing the CLIC Sargent Carol Concert in the Usher Hall.

I caught an informal shot of John Kitchen, our conductor, and Jamie Lang, our accompanist, in a relaxed moment after the rehearsal. This is the second shot - when he spotted the camera John gave a Jazz-hands which, of course, blurred. He posed more conventionally for me after that.  The drum Jamie is holding he played for our rendition of Gaudete!

As always there were junior performers, Andy Wong and Chiara Lordi from the Edinburgh Music School gave stunning solo performances on piano.

The organist this year was Joseph Beech, the ever-popular Thistle Brass made their annual appearance, altogether it was a great evening's entertainment and, according to members of the audience, one of the best CLIC Sargent concerts.
