...On With the New, Episode 2.

My blip on 20th September entitled Off With the Old... was a photo of our previous front door which wasn't really old, but we fancied a change and ordered a better door with a keyless entry system. Consequently, my blip on the following day, a photo of the new door, was entitled ...On With the New.

Unfortunately, however, the manufacturers had delivered a very nice door, but the wrong one. It had a convectional lock.

Today the fitters returned with yet another new door. Regrettably, however, they couldn't get the keyless entry system to work, although we were surprised to hear that the door speaks when one is trying to operate it. They took the new mechanism away with them as, luckily, the old lock fits this door as well.

Today's blip is of this new door as evidenced by the unoccupied holes above the door handle.
