Make Room For Mushrooms

We were out in the forest today for a bit of a walk and the hope of finding a few mushrooms. Our hopes weren't high because it's been so dry lately. However, the forest was teeming - we could have been eating parasols for days. Dipped in egg and rolled in breadsrumbs and fried in butter - mmmm. We also found Bay Boletes, Amethyst Deceivers (that purple colour is awesome), wood blewits (which look like blue chanterelles) and lots of other stuff too. About 2 kilos of them.

The best ones will go into a pasta dish tonight and the rest will be pickled or something.

It was great just to be out and about. I love fresh air and the lack of traffic noise so much.

Today's Blip is a bunch of inedibles and therefore unnamed. There's something about them that I just like - like a photo of a group of friends.
