Joyeux anniversaire

A third blipless day averted ... it was the cine club's 20th anniversary party today. There were speeches, booze, and cake, and we timed our arrival for after (most of) the speeches. The party was followed by a showing of Indian film Ugly. It was quite a good film, and despite being two hours long it was never boring. But I think they could have chosen something more festive. Nearly all their choices are grim and gloomy, and this was no exception: violence, corruption, and child abduction in a twisty, confusing plot. We'll have to try and get some influence over the programming.

To anyone wondering about the panettone, it was better but still not airy enough, and I haven't figured out how to cook it through without burning the outside. My only idea is to try doing miniature ones.
