Pontoon pattern

I walked down to the town for a haircut this afternoon and on the way back wandered along the seafront and on to the North Pier. There's always something here to photograph and I rather liked this head-on view of the new pontoons with the Esplanade in the background.

Over at the southern side of the bay some stray afternoon sunlight was escaping from under the dense clouds and lighting up the profile of the island of Kerrera with a golden glow - this is my extra today.
