Small tree

Forest fairies found--or planted?--the smallest tree on the Cordata trail to decorate for Christmas. Popcorn gave it the sniff test and approved.

On the morning of this walk we had a rabbit incident. Lovely ladies from Animals as Natural Therapy were walking around Silverado with rabbits for residents to pet. Longshanks looked very interested, so I let him get close enough to give one a sniff. Then the hunter impulse kicked in and he gave the unsuspecting bunny a little chomp, pulling it out of its basket, where the bunny then wisely decided to hop away. I screamed. Longshanks looked only mildly chastised. The rabbit was unscathed. The woman toting it around said the bunnies were used to dogs. Whew.
