Christmas is here

Since I was tiny the arrival of Christmas proper had always been signalled by the double issue of the Radio Times coming out.

Yes, I know that it is redundant now. That you can get all of the TV listings online. And who watches terrestrial television anymore when there are so many streaming services. And yes, the types of advertising in it (mainly targeting the very elderly) is indicative of the usual demographics of its dwindling readership. And I wouldn’t dream of buying it at any other time if the year.

But here’s the thing. I love it and I don’t care what you think.
