Fishley Ice and Fire
Last of the cold mornings, even now, as I process the images, the rain has arrived and last of the snow is melting fast.
I'd bumped in to my neighbour coming in from a night shift who'd warned me about the state of the roads. He'd slid on one of the local main roads, which didn't appear to be gritted, so I took extra care as I drove out. First stop was the post office to collect a parcel, then it was on to the supermarket. Even then it was still well before sunrise.
Looking east looked promising with some clouds, but clear sky on the horizon. All thoughts about the state of the roads were forgotten as I searched out a good location for a sunrise image. In the end I chose a local field, still left uncultivated with stubble from the autumn.
