My First Tomato

This tomato is well ahead of the others because I bought it when the rest were small seedlings. However, one of those seedlings is not far behind, with a ripening yellow cherry tomato.

Another hot day. I woke very early and decided to work in the garden before the temperature went up. I did three hours before having to pack it in. Mostly I weeded untidy edges, a lot of them. I didn’t finish anywhere because as the sun came round I had to move on. Also I had to watch out for mantis nymphs so as not to crush them. Now that many have turned green they are very hard to spot.
