Diary of an Edinburgher

Pink gin

Becky took Archie out this morning. JR rushed around after her gym visit, while I busied myself just tending the fire, getting too hot, then too cold, and having coughing fits.

I rallied round enough by the time our pals arrived for drinkies. Rufus and his mum came, and Hazel our neighbour. We opened up the special bottle of blue gin that Christine gave us. It was special because when tonic was added, it turned pink. What fun!

We had some delicious nibbles, some from Mr Waitrose, and some home made delicacies. We had a fun evening. After the others had gone and we were tidying up, naughty Archie pinched a little pastry, and sat with his head down looking very guilty. We thought he was feeling sick. But no. He was hiding his mouthful so that he could munch it in peace. I hope he enjoyed his little pesto filled filo pastry nibble.

Hope this cough doesn’t persist during the night...

Didn’t take many photos. Sorry Rufus, for cutting you off.
