As I said to my pal in a text early today, I am having a Pinterest fail type of a day.

My littlest and I tried to make gingerbread biscuits this morning and although they taste amazing (which is considerable in itself, given we more than fluffed the recipe, making things up with alternative spices and any type of flour we could find) the icing is shocking.

I tried to make tags for the cranberry gin I made this year and they look shocking too.

Anyway, we read some books, played a game of pirate treasure search and had a few air spinjitzu battles, generally making the most of the Monday, so all was not lost.

And when the skies goes dark, (sometime just after lunch!), the house lights up with (an un-co-ordinated mish mash of) sparkling fairly lights so I will just make a cup of tea and enjoy the ugly messy but tasty ginger nutmeg mixed spice biscuits.

I’ve not blipped for ages. It’s been a busy and fun December.
