What I did today

This morning I went over to my friend Maria's house to help make pizzelles..thin cookies that contain anise (licorice) flavoring and a tiny amount of anise seeds.    The cookies are very thin as they are made in a pizzelle maker..a hot griddle like contraption with two decorative griddles. It takes about 30 seconds to cook the wafer.   We made two batches as you can see with one being chocolate.  

I had to hide a good many of them.  They are so light that I could eat ten at a time!
