Pigeon Waiting For The Ferry

I went into Brisbane today to go to choir - great fun as always. Then afterwards I was waiting for the CityCat ferry at Bulimba - it was really windy and this pigeon got caught in a huge gust and was dumped down on the edge of the ferry jetty, just over the railing where I was waiting. So I leaned over and blipped it - hence the rather unusual angles though you can make out the concrete pillars and the blue diagonal is the railing I'm leaning on.

I know pigeons are so commonplace - yet I always like their irridescent neck feathers. Once this one had gathered itself, it was off and away again, seemingly unscathed.
