Exploring London

We had a very nice breakfast in Le Royal Hotel in Luxembourg City. After fresh fruit we both had Eggs Royale washed down with proper tea and milk.
A shuttle bus took us to the airport and after a short flight in a propeller plane where we were given free filled rolls ,a drink and sweet.
We walked to our hotel and dropped off our bags and caught the DLR into the London.
It had clouded over , the promised sunshine no where to be seen.
We walked over Tower Bridge, admiring the views down the Thames. We wandered round the Christmas Market by the river and into an area that was filled with Christmas lights and trees and a huge, funny mechanical structure that spouted water.Ae sat and drank a Hot Spicey Apple watching the hustle and bustle of all the people Christmas shopping.
On to Covent Garden which looked amazing, one HUGE tree and large baubles and mistletoe hang down over the Apple Market.
We had a meal in the cafe under the decorations and watched the street artists.
Next we walked up another street filled with lights to the Cambridge a Theatre where we watched the musical ‘ Matilda’ brilliant , the children were fantastic and the whole of the theatre was used, we had good seats too :)
After we went to Carnaby Street that had these amazing colourful lights and parrot and toucan lanterns.Apparently Jimi Hendrix released two parakeets there in the 1960’s , these have bred well and can now be seen in many parts of London.
A hot chocolate from Costa ,a look at Oxford Street and Regent street lights before getting a packed tube and the DLR back to the hotel.
A great day :)
