Holkham Christmas Candlelight Tour

B and I made our annual visit to Holkham Hall to take the Christmas Candlelight Tour today.  Each room is decorated for Christmas, each with a different theme and illuminated by many candles (apparently it takes two hours to light all the candles and another two hours to make sure they are safely extinguished at the end of the evening).  The main blip is the ‘Mexican’ themed room, and was a riot of colour, I thought the mantelpiece decoration was wonderful.  I have also included an extra of the servant’s corridor and a bauble in the entrance hall which was reflecting the stately space beautifully, the two figures in the middle are B and I taking our photos.
We both love this event...it really feels Christmassy, helped along by a drink and a mince pie in the cafe afterwards.
