Strictly raclette

A wintry day, warmed by an afternoon of feasting on raclette at Lizzie's flat. Anyone who has a raclette device in their flat is worth sticking close to. This is Dan positioning a piece of aubergine on the grill whilst wearing a Christmas jumper.

In the evening I took shelter from cycling in the bitter night to sit on Leigh's sister's cosy sofa, to watch the Strictly Come Dancing final. I have been watching this series as an indulgence, principally because Debbie McGee is an utter delight. The athleticism of the woman defies the natural world order. I am disappointed she didn't win. Alexandra Burke would have been another worthy winner as her skill and physique could rival that of an Olympian's. However, the winner was a Holby City actor who was good, but must have had soap fans voting in droves.
