Striped surprise
I don't know that I've ever seen a chipmunk out this late in the season; usually by now they are all tucked away in their burrows with burgeoning pantries. So, you can imagine my surprise when, late this afternoon, I glanced out the window and saw a streak of striped cuteness running along the edge of the woods.
As any good blipper would do, I grabbed a camera and shot out the door - no coat, no gloves, no hat. Then spent several really, really cold minutes stalking said striped rodent. He finally popped into his burrow, away from the pressure of the paparazzi. I'll be leaving a stash of peanuts by his doorway, just in case he needs extra provisions for the winter.
Since I was really struggling to find anything to blip, the little guy was exactly what I needed.
Hubs and I are heading to some friends' house tonight for a little wine, cheese, soup and conversation. Very much looking forward to it as they are always wonderful company.
Tomorrow I will be posting the TinyTuesday results so stay tuned!
