I pulled out all the spent broad beans today, did some other tidying up and planting seeds, and then turned on the rotating sprinkler. The birds came en masse, loving the fresh water, bathing and preening and thoroughly enjoying the freshness. I enjoyed watching them too; great fun.

This adult silver eye was thoroughly soaked, and there was also a wee baby silvereye that didn't quite make it into the shower - he's in Extras.
I wasn't sure which one to blip! I was standing on the deck, above the level of the adult bird.
