Sleeping

The youngest cried a few times after he was put to bed for the evening.  We ignored him as we're trying to wean him off needing an extra cuddle before going to sleep.  Maybe we should have gone up to check he was ok... although he clearly did go to sleep, he just may not have been all that happy.  As a caring mother, the first thing I did was take a picture of him, and then put him back in his cot properly.

We had a great day today - the boys were at the childminder today and the 'big children' were also there as school has finished - the eldest has been befriended by one of the big children and they are firm friends, which is so lovely to see.

Both were needed a sleep when they got back, and I used the time to make soup, ice the Christmas cake, wash the car and sort out the fire.  I think that is a very, very good use of nap time.  We had a lovely visit from one of our neighbors who is the owner of the little Shetland pony we go to see - they came with some chocolates for the boys, which of course they loved (the visit from Paddy the pony, not the chocolate really).
