Trotton Church ( purposely out of focus)

i had to go to Petersfield this morning to pick up a book and on the way back I stopped to photograph this pretty albeit wintery looking church.
This  C14 church is another of the pretty little churches which can be found alongside the A272. It is thought to have been built ~1300 with the tower and spire dating about 1230. Inside it houses some important medieval treasures including early brasses and finely detailed wall paintings.
I didn't go in today as we were running rather late, instead choosing to photograph the church from the perspective of the ancient wall which was growing a fine array of moss and lichen species.
I have used my final extra to bring you a close up of a tiny clump of moss adorned with jewel-like water droplets.
Gosh it is good to be on holiday!
