Today was our 54th anniversary…the winter solstice.  We are so lucky to have one another... The roses still look good too.
We spent the afternoon with the grandadughters downtown, walking by the train in the Macy’s windows, seeing the Wyeth exhibit at the Art Museum, having lunch there and then walking through the Market where we found the charm on the new outdoor fence with their names on it. (a fundraiser for the market but we’ve never looked for it) . Some dessert cookies,  And then a ride on the carousel before hopping on the trolley home..not sure why they didn’t choose a horse but they had fun!  (extra)

Home to hang out a bit, finish decorating the gingerbread houses and play some advent games on the computer and have some lovely appetizers before their Dad came to get them. (thank you P!)  then we were too tired to go out so had a toasted cheese in front of the fire and The Crown on TV, finished off with an Aquavit toast in my grandfather’s swedish aquavit glasses.   (Picture taken from my perch on the couch)

A fine day!
