A day late

It was decided a few weeks ago that 4 of us would head for the standing stones, sat in the forest above the village, for the winter solstice. One of the group couldn’t make it yesterday but we noticed the sunrise was at the same time this morning. It was murky on the hill adding great atmosphere for this group of ‘intrepid’ Wanderers. We had that feel good factor when finding the stones after the up and down route although sadly we couldn’t see the sun through the mist. It’s the taking part that counts......

We returned home, a quick scrub up for two of us to get to the children’s Carol service in the church for 10.30, it was wonderful. The church decorations are beautiful, the shininess in the above bf is recycled plastic.
