Yalda Night - Winter Solstice

We celebrated Yalda Night with Iranian friends. A Persian Festival, marking the longest night of the year.

One of the traditions is to read a poem by Hafez, a great Persian poet. This was read in translation.

There was a quiz, to name different sites in Iran, and attempting to pronounce them in Farci.

We shared memories from our childhood. So many stories related to eggs, yet they were all random. I told the story about my little brother badly injuring his finger, and what we had to do to save it. I'll spare you the details. The story has a good outcome, and he has full use of his finger.
