Demolishing the Vicky

I can't believe how much of the old hospital has been demolished. A few weeks since I last passed by here. I heard the entrance facing the park will remain. I do hope the curved Day Rooms at the end of the wards on the hill up to Battlefield will remain too. They are a real feature.

Standing here with a tear in my eye, remembering my last visit to a dear friend taken far too soon. And seeing HDU now completely flattened, it brought back tough memories of months of family visits.

It will be interesting to see what is developed in this space.
