This Time We Run, This Time We Hide....

In the Words of Chloe in The Midwives, "It's amazing isn't it, that one baby comes from one egg and one sperm".

It is amazing, and I think it every time I look at my babies, (aged 18 and 21); it is truly a complete and utter miracle. And more brilliant than they ever make you believe in Section Six at Biology.

Do you remember Section Six?

Our Section Six was in Mr Farqharson's class. I sat at a four desk with Ian, David, and Carolyn. For 20 minutes we watched slides which gave us every detail about peni and vagees, and cycles.

It was a traumatic experience at the end of which we all sat in embarrassed silence and turned back round to face our desks. Ian looked me straight in the eye and said "So, Helen, have your started with this menstruation cycle then?".

That was the moment I learned the death stare.
