Jumping through hoops

The reason I was back in the UK. I applied for an overseas job (for when I finish my floating) in September last year and had my interview today. Over 800 people applied for 55 jobs so I was pleased to have made it through to this stage. The fact I've been doing the job, in several locations for the last two years is irrelevant, so I sat through a 55-minute competency-based interview, followed by a 45-minute written exercise, followed by a 10-minute 'presentation' in the hope of making it to the final 55. Who knows. Time will tell. My fingers & toes are crossed for another 3 years overseas....
