Twas the night before Christmas...

A bit of a dull overcast day but we were occupied with a run over to Cambridge and back to pick up Annie's step mum.

The fading light on the return journey and the desire not to blip another Christmas tree decoration meant a quick diversion. We've visited Segenhoe church ruins in the past, usually on brighter days but there was enough of a break in the clouds to give them definition as we arrived. Switching the camera picture style to black and white gave a good preview of what was possible.

Now we're home and about to begin prep for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of cottage pie. Just what you need before the inevitable food mountain to be consumed over the next two days!!
