Fiendish Crackers
We were up just in time for the oven to go on and the turkey to go in. I (Chris) went for a run and by the time I returned, Annie and her step mum had the preparation for lunch firmly in hand. My parents joined us for a fabulous and traditional Christmas lunch appreciated by all, compliments to the chefs.
We decided a few weeks ago to try some better quality Christmas crackers. Rather than the usual throwaway "gifts", each of these crackers contained a small and different Mecanno style construction kit complete with tools. It took each of us a good 25 minutes to complete our constructions and required some patience with small parts and tricky to read instructions. All agreed though it was good fun and better than a giant paperclip or some blunt nail clippers. The blip shows my mum at work constructing her bi-plane!!
After lunch we had some time to relax and chat before my parents headed to my sisters for dinner, whilst the remaining three of us set about a tricky jigsaw made with this blip. We've picked at a bit of food this evening but no one needed anything substantial after lunch!
Hope everyone has had a good day.
