Boxing Day

A beautiful sunny morning for a walk at Emsworth.  The Old Four Mill was one of several tidal mills which ground grain from the local area.  The flour was then transported by ship to towns and cities including Portsmouth and London.  From a brief look at the history of the mill it appears to have been build in 1884 but was burned down in the early 20th Century only to be fully restored in 1972.  What an impressive building.  I am so pleased it has been made good again.

Hoping you have all had a good Boxing Day.  It is now lashing with rain here!
