Promenade

The day after the day before!   Feeling slightly jaded after our long drive and busy day yesterday - despite a lie in!  We couldn't quite face the thought of getting covered in mud and having to wash the dog so we opted for a walk along the front at Emsworth...along with many others.  

There was a merry atmosphere with so many different ages of people and different dogs walking.  Merlin got lots of fuss and was thoroughly intrigued by all that was going on.  The main entertainment was a radio controlled yacht race and a fancy dress boat race.  The sailing club balcony was filled with spectators dressed in festive hats and along the quay people stopped to watch the spectacle.   We stayed for a while but when Merlin started barking at the yachts we thought we better depart...!

The rest of the day has been one of relaxing (aka trying to stay awake) and another dog walk - this time in the muddy field which is now slightly less muddy as it hasn't rained for a few days.

Tonight's dinner is to be baked potatoes...filling yet to be decided!
