The Saxilby Boxing Day Duck Race

It's the first time that we have been to this event, but it was such a beautiful day, although a bit chilly, and a good opportunity for a walk.

There were lots of people there to watch the slow moving ducks.......not much wind....but a group of canoeists to provide a bit of encouragement. They took about 40mins to travel the 150 metres. 

Most ducks were floating on their side, but the one in the blip lead most of the way.   Needless to say neither of us had the winning duck !!!
