Boxing Day walk

A glorious morning - Newhaven escaped the snow that fell nearby - saw the McIntosh family take the obligatory post-orgy walk out the breakwater and past the lighthouse, returning by this undeveloped and surprising couple of pools, inhabited by two swans and a clutch of ducks.

The flats reflected in the water are some we looked at some twelve years ago, when out family’s duplex was a hole in the ground and I went round show flats asking startled sales people where you were supposed to put your jerseys.

And that, dear reader, is the kind of reflection brought on by more champagne...
